Where and how to contact us?

We offer mailing lists for support and most of us are on IRC channels. If you are having difficulty installing, or using Opie, on whatever device, you should subscribe to our mailing lists or should try IRC.

Opie mainling list is for general user support. You can subscrite to it and consult the archived messages following this link.

Opie-devel Mailing List

Opie-devel mailing list is for developers, Opie programming issues and programming discussions. You can subscrite to it and consult the archived messages following this link

Opie IRC Channels

IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is at present THE fastest way to contact us or other Opie advanced users.
Opie has an English language and a German language channel. Here are two IRC servers that you can use with your prefered IRC client:

  • irc.kde.org
  • irc.freenode.net

The English language channel: #opie
The German language channel: #opie.de

In order to send a patch or comments, it will more relevant to look at the Howto Contribute section.
In any case, you will arouse much interest among if you subscribe to one of the mailing lists above or if you join one of the IRC channel.

You can E-mail one of the Opie's Webmasters (christophe(at)handhelds.org or llornkcor(at)handhelds.org) for any web site problem. You should know that any Opie member can correct the content of the web site.
